Me and the guys in the office have been using only Chrome since it came to give it a good test run and it hasn’t crashed once for any of us and were all doing dev work so thats very positive. I also noticed that now i can use it as my default browser, params are being passed and loaded properly into the browser. 

Do to this new style of home page i even begun to love bookmarks which i never used before since typing always seemed faster. but with the ability only show my bookmark bar on the homepage and then hide it everywheres else its became very easy to click to go places compared to typing. 

Final Note, speeds are still blazing fast i havent closed the application in 2 days and everything is still rock solid and as fast as when i opened it. I haven’t been impressed by software in a long time but seeing this from the programmers side its forcing me to rethink how i will creatting applications because this sets the bar very high for what is now a quality, rock solid, blazing fast application.

JavaScript Speed tests with Chrome

Things I found a bit odd, well the oddest one has to be Create application shortcuts. I am not sure who this is fooling but this is simply a shortcut to url you could always do this they just gave it a fancier name and put emphasis on the fact that you can do it simply. I found that there are a few things that didn’t work if I set Chrome to my default browser. The Google desktop search function that you open with Ctrl x 2, launches a Google search. But if Chrome was my default browser it wasn’t handling the command line parameters sent to it properly and my search never happened just blank pages.

Now on to things I have found to be very great. I work on sites with a lot of JavaScript and many layers and on my slower computer I could see a very big difference in page load times on the client side. Things appeared on screen much more smoothly. I haven’t had a tab crash on my yet so I can’t say anything about the task manager system yet. Most features are pretty standard in most browsers. The popup blocker is seamless and lets you access the blocked windows with a lot of ease, can’t really even compare to anything that’s how simple it was for me.

So in my conclusion of my first 12hrs… It’s too stable to review its recovery features, it outperformed other browsers on slower computers for me (I can’t see a difference on my high end gaming machine as they all work pretty flawlessly there). Features are nice and tightly packed with absolutely no wasted space. I personally love this browser and plan on keeping using it. I almost forgot to mention this, I work on at least 10 different sites and I didn’t have to adjust any of the CSS or HTML for any of the sites to work SO THANK YOU VERY MUCH. I was quite afraid when I heard this coming out.
