I would like to start this by saying my congratulations on a great step forward by officials of this program, when I heard the news this morning I was psyched. My first reactions were unfortunately short lived and here is why.

CTV news reports that the cars currently available for this project are from a Canadian company called ZENN, the cars available top out at 40km/hr and can only drive 60km. This is a typical attempt at what our Who killed the electric car post explains, an attempt that is designed to fail. The majority of people are very ignorant and think that this is progress but to be really honest this is just another attempt by the government and other powers in place to keep us happy and quiet.

We know GM could make electric cars that could drive 300 miles and had no problems accessing the highway. Telling our population that this is progress and that we are getting cleaner is a lie and an insult. I thought this would be good news and I’m sure you were too, but I have to say this is a setup to fail and it will.

Who killed the electric car? This is the full documentary about the electric car. It is pretty long (92min) but is really interesting at the same time. If you were always dreaming of a car that wouldn’t need gasoline to run, well go back about 10 years in the past and you’ll find it.
