LG Chocolate KG800 Review

July 17, 2008 – 3:46 pm

A nice review that one of our readers sent us.

I bought a cell phone like a over a year ago and I hate it!!!
The phone a LG Chocolate KG800

There is some good about it but they pretty much are only design
• Innovative touch-sensitive navigation keys under screen (that actually work very good)
• Minimalist black design
• Intuitive user interface
• Not a flip phone it’s a slider
• Its was free (with a 3 year contract)

The bad
• I cant hear anything (even at max volume)
• when the cell phone is charging the ringer volume change itself to very low
• you can easily miss a call or even worst miss the alarm to wake you up in the morning
• No speaker phone
• No upgradeable memory
• No voice command
• No radio
• No play list or ID3 tag support
• No headphone jack
• No good case for it… I bough one but every time I want to use the phone I have to remove it from the case
• The plastic in front of my screen is crack and the lock on the battery is also broken
• Battery life is not that good
• There is a USB cable that come with it but it doesn’t work
• There is no computer software that come with the cell phone (I cant find one on the internet)
• Couldn’t make the Bluetooth work (but even if I did there is only 128meg of internal memory)
• The 1.3mp camera is not bad but the led flash works like shit (its actually to bright)
• easy to accidentally press the wrong key
• High-gloss case is fingerprint-prone
• Too “plasticky” for some
• ITS NOT A NOKIA (all my other cell phone were nokia and for me they are the best)
• Those are just there one I can remember right now Im sure I have a few more…

My cell phone company told I could replace the cell before
Even though the design of the phone is very nice and has some nice innovation
It’s still a cell phone and that part is not working well

If you guys have any good or bad experience with your cell phone or other technology device let us know …

Thanks Plurnay
